The Graphic Designer will work closely with the creative team — and play a leadership role — in creating memorable visitor experiences, as well as integrating text, images and media of all kinds. The Graphic Designer works as a member of an integrated team that includes content developers, exhibit designers, media designers and developers, marketing specialists, and the client.

Responsibilities are as follows; participate in conceptual development and illustrate design concepts through a variety of mediums depending on the project scope of work, develop graphic standards and hierarchies per project style and content, attend internal and client meetings to understand the content and materials available to bring the exhibition graphic elements to life both interpretively and creatively, develop designs from conceptual, ideation stage to the final design, construction design and implementations, lead a team of designers and work in a team environment including G&A staff, subcontractors, clients, suppliers and industry contacts, present confidently to client teams, work within tight schedules, in a fast-paced working environment, multi-task; able to lead and work on several different projects at a time, travel to meetings and site visits as required by projects, responsible for maintaining client missions and design objectives throughout the project, disseminate work within the graphics team when appropriate; review and approve design deliverables as required, provide updates and milestone deliverables to creative director for review/input, coordinate and manage meetings pertaining to graphic and interpretive development, conduct design sessions with team to develop and monitor design and direction, work with production teams to maintain design integrity within project documents and artwork, and to coordinate and itemize presentation deliverable, format and schedule, and be responsible to project budget and schedule; to coordinate with team leaders to monitor/manage design man-hours.

Qualifications include; Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design with a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental graphic design or related field, strong technical drawing skills and Adobe CS Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), MS Office or Keynote.

Proven experience in multiple phases of the design process including: conceptualization, design development, and design intent drawings. (CA experience is a plus), good knowledge of fabrication techniques and materials standards of exhibit design, excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and illustrative), and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Exhibit Designer

The Exhibit Designer will work closely with the Senior Exhibit Designer and Creative Director to design, coordinate and integrate exhibits, graphics and media concepts into the overall physical needs of the space. In addition, the Exhibit Designer will play a key role in creating visuals to communicate the design intent of the spaces and visitor experience for the client team.

Production Coordinator

Gallagher & Associates is on a mission to synthesize the physical and digital worlds in a way no other design firm has. We are seeking a Production Coordinator to join our New York based team.

In this role you’ll work closely with the Director of Film, Producers and Creative Leads to plan and deliver on a range of exciting projects and formats, including longer-form films for theaters, short-form interactive experiences and immersive projection spaces. We are well-known for our work in the museum and cultural sectors, so a particular passion for storytelling within an exhibition context is highly regarded.

We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, able to track all the moving parts from pre-production to post-production, energetic and self-motivated to see multiple projects through to completion. In addition to growing your skills in collaboration with a diverse creative team in-house, you will also be building a solid network of freelancers and specialist production services to cater to each project’s needs.

This position reports to the Studio Director.

Key Responsibilities include; providing high-level administrative support to Producers and Director of Film, including assisting in tracking deliverables within key milestones, budgets & schedules, managing, building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, be a positive collaborator within a cross-functional team, with interest in how film contributes to the overall experience. Openness to learn from user-experience design, visual design, and creative technology disciplines, working closely with Director of Film to facilitate shoots including: locations, coordinating crew, talent, props, wardrobe, meals, travel and equipment, May involve travel with Director of Film to facilitate shoots, Media asset supply/coordination with team members and digital asset management including rights and acquisition and quality assurance and tracking of any issues, raising red flags as needed, and finding creative solutions.
